How do you overload a circuit breaker?

overloading and a short circuit can cause a circuit breaker to blow. When you try to make the circuit carry a heavier load than it was designed for, you end up with overloading. The overload occurs when you try to load the circuit a heavier charge than it was designed. In a 15 amp circuit, all the lights and devices in this circuit must be added to a maximum of 15 amp.
