How do you size a furnace and air conditioner?

You can figure out the size of the AC and heating units you need once you have the base BTUs figured for your home's size. Divide the number by 12,000 to determine the required amount for the air conditioner. Divide the BTU by the efficiency of the furnace. ft., in the case of a 1500 sq. ft., in the case of a 1500 sq. ft., in the case of a 1500 sq. ft.
