How do you test a drain?

The section of pipework that is being tested needs to be isolated with airtight plugs. The pressure is set to 110mm head for 5 minutes using a drain pressure gauge. Any change in head is measured after 5 minutes when the pressure is adjusted to a 100mm head reading.First, hermetic caps are inserted to isolate the section of the tube during the test. Using a drainer, the pressure adjusts to the head 110 mm for 5 minutes. Then, the pressure adjusts to a reading of 100 mm of the head of the meter and, after 5 minutes, any change of head is measured.
