How do you test a generator stator with a multimeter?

The first thing to do is perform the static stator tests. The regulator can be disconnected with the switch in the "Off" position. Set the multimeter toResistance or Ohms on the lowest scale, and insert one probe into one of the stator pin sockets. The other probe should be touched to any ground.
