How do you turn on a saddle valve?

Self-tapping devices are called saddle valves. Once mounted on a line, all you need to do is turn the valve clockwise until it pierces the water line. tapping the pipe is done when the valve handle is not turned. The valve is opened by turning the handle counter-clockwise.
