How do you turn the water off on a toilet?

The line coming out of the wall behind the toilet is usually the shutoff valve. Don't force it if you turn it clockwise. If you're having trouble turning the valve because it's rusted or because of hard water, you can grease it by hitting it with a little WD-40.
