How do you unscrew a bolt without a head?

If you want to remove a broken bolt without welding, center punch the broken bolt, then drill a pilot hole into the center with a left-handed drill bit. Put an extract bit into the hole you just drilled, rotating it clockwise until it tightens and removes the bolt.
