How does a bulkhead fitting work?
A perimeter fastening allows tube connections to be made to a tank. A hole is cut into the tank in which the fixing body is inserted. A thread of peanut locking on the body to hold it in place. Locknut puts pressure on the lining (s) which allows it to make a tight seal fluid. The piping connections to the tank can be made with a bulkhead fitting. The fitting body is inserted into the tank through a hole. A lock nut holds it in place. The liquid tight seal can be made by putting pressure on the gasket.
