How does a fridge light work?

There is a small lever switch mounted in the door of the refrigerator that can be used to operate the lightbulb. When the door closes, the switch shuts down the circuit and causes the light to illuminate; when the door opens, the switch completes the circuit and causes the light to illuminate.
