How does an air conditioning expansion valve work?

There is an expansion of the valves. The expansion valve removes pressure from the liquid to allow the change of state from a liquid to a Vapor in the Evaporator. As the liquid refrigerant moves out of the orifice, heat molecules are allowed to spread.
