How does electric furnace work with heat pump?

Electricity can be used to power furnaces. A fuel source doesn't generate heat from a heat pump. They use electricity and refrigerant to transfer heat from the outside to the inside. In heating mode, heat pumps work like an air conditioner in reverse.
