How efficient are oil boilers?

A new oil-fired boiler will usually have an efficiency of 92 to 93%, compared with 85% for a new non-condensing boiler and 60 to 70% for older systems. If you buy an oil boiler from a well-established company, it should be just as efficient as a gas powered boiler system.
