How many PSI is a fire hydrant?

It is assumed that all hydrants give at least 20 psi. The rated pressure should be stenciled on the top of the hydrant and on the caps if it doesn't. This is also recommended for high pressured hydrants. If precautions aren't taken, too much pressure can cause damage to the fire equipment.
