Is it ok to put hot water in toilet?

It is possible to melt the seal if you pour hot water in the toilet. When the toilet is flushed dirty water will escape and wet the wood flooring. It will cause the floor to rot if you don't notice it at first. The toilet will have to be removed and the damaged subfloor torn up.
