Should boiler pressure go up when heating on?

When the heating is on, the pressure on your boiler gauge will increase. Water expansion is what causes the build-up of pressure. As the boiler warms the water throughout the pipes, it's natural. During its heating cycle, your boiler should not rise more than 1 bar.
