What can you use instead of dishwasher salt?

The dishwasher salt should be used with large grained "kosher" salt. There are many natural recipes that can be used for rinse and detergent. A mixture of half baking soda and half borax is what I use. Half for each load is what you should use if you buy tablets or powders.
