What causes a microwave to burn out?

A failure in the diode will result in a lower A/C voltage reaching the magnetron, which may not be enough. There are visible signs of a burn out when a device fails. A failure with any of these switches can cause the microwave oven to not switch on and cause no heat to be produced.
