What causes flame rollout on a furnace?

How does it happen? A high concentration of gases inside the combustion chamber can cause a fire in a gas furnace. These inflammable gases are usually exhausted from the furnace through the flue passageways in the heat exchanger, then up the vent to the exterior of the home.
