What causes over boost?
An over boost means the turbo charger is forcing more air than is normal into the engine, causing it to run at high pressure. The driver cannot manually initiate or control an over boost. Over boost happens automatically when the vehicle is driven at certain revs in a certain gear, with the throttle fully open.
