What does a gurgling toilet mean?

There is an abnormal building in the line. When the negative air pressure releases, it will push air backwards through the drainpipe and into the toilet bowl. You will hear a gurgling noise, the water in the bowl may bubble, and the toilet may flush itself when this occurs.
