What Does Permanent Hold Mean on My Thermostat?
A permanent hold means your thermostat will stay at a set temperature instead of running on your program schedule. To resume your set scheduled, the hold must be canceled. When your thermostat is on permanent hold, the temperature will not change until you manually increase or decrease the set temperature.
Put It On Pause
Placing your thermostat on permanent hold pauses your current heating and cooling schedule and sets a new stable temperature. Pausing your normal thermostat schedule can be a good option when you plan on being away from home for a while, or if your schedule has shifted.
When you choose to override the system for these short breaks, you don’t have to worry about messing up any programs you’ve set for your regular routine.
