What goes on first stain or sealer?
Short answer No. There are different methods to apply the stain. Some seal the wood first, others do not. There is no wrong way or good way.
What is the best sealer for painted furniture?
The Minwax polycrylic is the best water-based polycrylic to seal painted furniture. It is economical and works very well. It cannot be misused when using a quality brush or a washed foam roller with rounded ends. Apply in light layers, allowing each layer to dry before applying another light layer.

Is it better to spray or brush stain?
