What is kva on a generator?

The more power a generator produces, the higher the kVA rating. A kVA is 1000 watt-amps. It's what you get when you take the force that moves electrons around a circuit and add it to the amount of electrical current. The 'apparent power' of a generator is measured by kilovolt-amps.
