What is the difference between a thermocouple and a RTD?

thermocouples are more sensitive to temperature changes than sensor types. A grounded thermocouple will respond three times faster than a RTD. The accuracy of RTDs is usually 0.1C, compared to 1C for most. Some models can match the accuracy.
