What is the difference between comfort height and chair height toilets?

The height of the toilets is measured from the floor to the top of the seat, generally falling somewhere between 14-19 inches. There are two classifications of heights: comfort/chair height and standard height. Most of the time, toilets are comfort height, which means they measure 16-17 inches on average or above, up to 19 inches. Standard toilets enter in under 17 inches, usually around 14-15 inches tall.
