What is the minimum size flue pipe that should be attached to a gas furnace?

The inside diameter of the hole should match the inside diameter of the pipe you buy. It must never be smaller or it will leak. The average stove and furnace requires a 3 inch diameter pipe, but can be as large as 8 inches. A 4 inch pipe is needed for a pellet stove.
