What should upstairs and downstairs thermostats?

If you prefer a temperature of 72 degrees in the summer, then you should set the thermostat upstairs to 74 and downstairs to 70. The higher temperature should be on the second story in the winter. If you have a three story home, there should be a one degree difference.
