What wire do you use for a 220 stove?

The electric dryer has a properly grounded circuit with 30 Amp breaker or fuse protection. It's a good idea to use #10 gauge wire. There is an electric range of 220 - 240 watt, 60 hertz, properly grounded circuit with 40 watt breaker or fuse protection with #8 gauge wire. 6 gauge wire is required with a 50 Amp breaker.
