Which is thicker schedule 40 or 80 steel pipe?

The main difference between Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 is size. Even though it's similar to a schedule 40 pipe, the schedule 80 pipe has a thicker wall. It is possible to have the same outside diameter because of the extra thickness of the schedule 80 PVC inside the pipe.
