Which ton AC do I need?

If your requirement is too cold from 32 to 24 degrees Celsius, then 1 ton is enough. But if you want to cool the whole room to reduce the temperature by about 1820 degrees, then you need 1.5 tons to 1500ft3 (length x width x height). 1.5 tons AC requires about 1500 watts of power of 1 ton about 1000W1150W.

How many tons of AC do I need per cubic foot?

But the general rule is to have 1 cfm per square metre of living surface. Thus, a house of 1600 square feet would have 1600 CFM of cooling capacity, or a unit of 4 tons. In other words, each tonne of air conditioning will keep 400 square feet of fresh living surface.

How do I know what type of AC system I have?

Each heating and cooling system comes with the manufacturer's labels and feed guides. And sometimes these labels tell you what type of unit you have. For example, go to the condenser and look for the manufacturer's label.

What size air conditioner do I need for my house?

If your house has 2,000 square feet, you can calculate that your CVAC needs the same as for a 1600 square foot house. If a ton of cooling capacity can cool 400 square feet of your house, you will need approximately 5.0 tons of air conditioning capacity. Multiply this by 12,000 BTU, and you will get 60,000 BTU.

What ton AC do I need?

If your house has 2,000 square feet, you can calculate that your CVAC needs the same as it would for a house of 1600 square feet. Assuming that a ton of cooling capacity can cool down to 400 square feet of your house, you will need approximately 5.0 tons of air conditioning capacity. Multiply this from 12,000 BTU, and you will get 60,000 BTU.

What type of AC filter should I use?

If your AC system accepts only a 1 inch thick filter, use a MERV-5 or -6 folded or low-priced fiberglass filter and change them frequently is your best bet. These filters will not help you much with indoor air quality, but they should help protect your equipment.
