Why are my blinds not going down?

A malfunction of the cord lock mechanism is the most likely cause of the blinds not raising or lowering. Pull the cord all the way to the level of the headrail, which is usually stiff plastic, at the top of your blinds. Pull on the cord. Is that correct? You should lower the slats of your blinds.
