Why does dishwasher soap not dissolve?

The detergent was stuck in the cup. If your dishwasher detergent is stuck in the soap cup after the wash cycle, it may mean that the water temperature is too low or that the water is not being directed into the detergent cup. The soap cup should not be blocked by anything.
