Why does my central air keep tripping the breaker?

The circuit breaker is tripped by the AC. If the tripping is caused by the air conditioner, it may be overheating. An air conditioner draws more Amps from the circuit when it warms up. That may be pushing the circuit past what was supposed to be able to handle it.
