Why does my stove take so long to heat up?

A weak or failing oven igniter is likely to be the issue. As they get hot, heat resistance igniters will lose their resistance and won't send enough resistance to the gas valve to allow the main valve to come on. Is that correct? In about 7 to 8 minutes, most gas ovens should heat to 350 degrees.
