Why does my thermostat not hold temperature?

There are a number of reasons why a thermostat may not be maintaining the right temperature. Often, the thermostat may be out of batteries, so you may want to try recharging your thermostat or replacing the batteries first. Your thermostat also may not be set properly and the settings may require adjustment.

A Honeywell thermostat can work poorly in general, and this is the cause of your inability to maintain the temperature. If the screen is empty and does not respond, or blinks, it can mean that your thermostat batteries are dying. Try to replace them to see if it helps.
