Why does my well pump run so often?

The most common reason your water pump will short cycle is loss of air charge. Is that correct? If it's in the upper 70% of the tank, that means there isn't much air reserve, and it's likely the cause of your pump short cycling. Make sure the air volume control valve isn't leaking or dirty.
