Why does my Worcester boiler keep locking out?

A leaking boiler can cause low pressure and the boiler to be locked up. A leaking boiler is usually the result of pump seals blowing. This occurs when the seals degrade over time, or they've been put under too much stress, such as the recent increase in flow rate on the pump.
