Why is my central heating overflow pipe dripping?

Problems with a float valve are one of the most common causes of an overflow pipe dripping or running with water. Cold water tanks, central heating feed and expansion tanks have float valves in them. Is there anything else you'd like to see? The ball and arm go down when the water in the tank is being used.
