Why is there no water pressure in my bathroom faucet?

There are three possible causes for low pressure at an isolated faucet: 1) the shut-off valve is the wrong type of fitting, 2) the faucet aerator is partially blocked, or 3) the pipe feeding water to that particular faucet is malfunctioning.
