Why is water coming out of my condensate pipe?

The condensate trap and pipe come out of the heat exchanger, so if it cracks, it will cause the system or mains water to drain into the condensate pipe. If the hot water causes the pipe joints to fail, that may be the cause of the leaking pipe.
