Will a bad capacitor cause a motor to overheat?

The motor won't have a magnetic field if the wrong run capacitor is installed. The spots that are not even will cause the rotor to hesitate. This hesitation will cause the motor to become noisy, increase energy consumption, and cause performance to drop.
